Emma Watson didn't need any Harry Potter type magic or trickery to find some good shopping in Los Angeles! The 17-year old British actress, best known for her role of Hermione Granger in the popular Harry Potter series, hit the stores on Robertson for the TV news show Access Hollywood. With show host Maria Menunous taking her around, Watson found herself being interviewed while trying on Kitson shoes at the LA shopping hotspot, and trying on the popular OmniPeace tank top that is in the closets of American actresses Courteney Cox Arquette and Jennifer Aniston. Because it had been Maria's 29th birthday the previous day, the Access Hollywood host decided that Emily should have a Sprinkles cupcake to have the full Los Angeles experience! Her favorite was the "red velvet," and as far as her shopping style went, she told Maria that unlike her character Hermione, who's a bookwormish tomboy, in her real life she loves "girlie things."

Dress For Interview
While the college campus may be the perfect forum in which to exhibit your flair for the latest in fashion style, the interview is not the place to do so. With very few unusual exceptions, sandals and sweatshirts are out. Oxfords and business suits are still in. A necktie is still a fact of life in interviewing. Even though many companies have relaxed the internal company dress code, interviews still follow the conservative standard. Don't buck the trend.
Unfortunately, most college grads are woefully underprepared with proper interview dress. They feel they can "get by" with what is already in their wardrobe. Usually not. Dress for the world outside college is quite different from the campus scene. Remember that stylish is not conservative. You should be doing the talking, not your clothes. We've just heard Lil will be performing at BBC Radio Merseyside's celebration of 40 Years of Music and Laughter at the Liverpool Empire on 26th November. There are currently very good tickets available, so get yours now! We'll bring more details about Lil's involvement in the show when we have them.Liz will also be attending the Youth Music Song for Peace event on the 21st September (see events), and last Sunday she was at the Shoreditch Shoestrig Festival, from which there a few photos in the gallery!
We caught up with Lil yesterday at the Wiltshire Crimestoppers Fun Day at the beautiful Bowood House, Wiltshire, where she performed an 8-track 30 minute set to an enthusiastic and supportive crowd.First off Liz performed her fantastic brand new song (we'll confirm the title, but think it's Watch This Girl!), which she followed with a mixture of solo and Kitten tunes including Tide Is High, Woman In Love, (Don't It Make You) Happy, Had Enough, You Are, Boys, and Whole Again.We've plenty of photos of Lil (not to mention her 'boys' Lee and Joe!) which are online now (look under Solo Lilleee)... and there may even be a video treat in store soon!Backstage and even on stage Lil gave a few hints as to what might be coming soon, and whilst we can't reveal anything just yet, keep yours eyes peeled for news on significant events around November and the New Year that you won't want to miss!
